Carpenter Technology's Benefits Program provides employees with health, medical, and other programs to meet the needs of themselves and their families. We also encourage wellness and healthier lifestyles for all members.
Benefits are available to eligible full-time/part-time employees within the United States. For international locations, our benefit plans are competitive in the various countries where we operate and offer medical/hospitalization coverage, dental, life insurance, holidays, and vacation. Benefits plans will vary for each country.
In addition to the many benefits that are available to employees, there are several voluntary plans that are available for an additional premium. Voluntary plans are sponsored by organizations that have been selected for quality and value to employees.
To help employees become, or stay healthy we offer several voluntary programs to employees.
Tobacco cessation programs are typically available through an employee's medical benefits. U.S. employees who are 'tobacco-free' will pay less in medical and prescription drug monthly premiums.
Each fall, employees have the opportunity to get a free flu shot, either at their work location or as provided under our medical benefits.
Reading and Latrobe Operations employees can attend a health fair each fall where they can learn about company provided and voluntary benefits.
Employees may be able to take advantage of employee discounts at local gyms, or through special programs as part of their medical benefits.
